Apply NowOne Tech Engineering is searching for an Electrical Engineer for a position located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Electrical Engineer will deploy and commission automated field devices, including capacitor banks, protection devices and other distribution automation equipment.
The candidate must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder and should have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with two to three years of related experience.
This role combines power-system studies, field-device settings, distribution automation, ADMS integration, AMI evaluation, commissioning, performance monitoring and technical field support.
Electrical or Computer Engineering education with practical experience supporting power or distribution systems.
Hands-on familiarity with automated field devices, capacitor bank controls and protection equipment.
Ability to support field-device integration, advanced distribution management and advanced metering functionality.
Ability to support installation teams, diagnose communication or equipment issues and verify device performance.
Hands-on experience with capacitor-bank control equipment is required for the position.
Experience working with SEL protection equipment and related field-device functionality.
Integrate automated devices into Advanced Distribution Management Systems and verify communications.
Evaluate advanced metering infrastructure capabilities and meter functionality.
Python programming experience is preferred.
SQL programming experience is also preferred for this opportunity.
