Designer

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Designer for a position located in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

The Designer will manage utility service design projects from initiation through final billing, coordinating directly with customers, work coordinators and field crews.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or green card holders and should have previous customer service, construction or technical coordination experience.

Designer Responsibilities

• Review assigned customer notifications in SAP.
• Communicate directly with customers to gather project requirements and obtain the information needed to complete service-design work.
• Complete electric utility design work using Smallworld GIS.
• Create and manage project work orders in SAP.
• Coordinate with work coordinators and field crews to schedule project work.
• Provide field support and respond to project questions during execution.
• Review completed work and as-built diagrams for accuracy.
• Calculate billable project amounts based on completed work.
• Generate invoices and finalize project billing.
• Respond to customer questions related to billing.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization and meeting deadlines.

Requirements of the Designer

• Previous customer service, construction or technical coordination experience.
• Familiarity with GIS or AutoCAD.
• Utility industry experience is preferred.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
