Apply NowOne Tech Engineering is searching for a Designer for a position located in Eau Claire or Menomonie, Wisconsin.
The Designer will design and manage electric distribution projects for new and existing customers.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens or green card holders and should have professional work experience along with a basic electrical knowledge or background.
This utility design role combines customer coordination, field assessments, GE Smallworld GIS, transformer sizing, underground cable routing, pole placement, SAP and project management.
Basic electrical knowledge that supports distribution design, transformer sizing and utility infrastructure decisions.
Ability to understand customer project requirements and communicate clearly throughout project execution.
Comfortable conducting field surveys and translating site conditions into utility design decisions.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple design activities from planning through execution.
Customized GIS environment used for electric distribution system design.
Used to review new customer contacts and support project workflows.
Previous GIS or AutoCAD experience is considered a plus.
