E&C Engineer

One Tech Engineering is searching for an E&C Engineer for a position located in Mead, Colorado.

The E&C Engineer will oversee and contribute to large-scale dispatchable generation projects, including projects involving combustion turbines and related power-generation infrastructure.

The position provides senior electrical engineering support across both design review and active construction, helping project teams resolve technical issues and maintain alignment with approved project requirements.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or green card holders and should have nine or more years of electrical engineering experience, including at least three years supporting dispatchable generation projects.

E&C Engineer Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering expertise across large-scale dispatchable generation projects.
• Review engineering and construction drawings for technical accuracy and project compliance.
• Review drawings, studies, calculations and technical analyses.
• Evaluate technical submittals against project specifications and requirements.
• Identify variances from master specifications and coordinate internal technical review.
• Manage Requests for Information throughout design and construction.
• Coordinate technical questions with engineers and project stakeholders.
• Support field construction teams by clarifying engineering design intent.
• Troubleshoot electrical engineering issues encountered during construction.
• Interpret engineering drawings and contract requirements.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports including review, documentation and technical resolution.
• Coordinate NCR resolution with project and engineering teams.
• Verify field installation aligns with approved project designs.
• Support planning and engineering review phases before construction.
• Provide engineering guidance during active field execution.
• Work with project engineers and cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support construction compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Nine or more years of electrical engineering experience.
• At least three years of experience supporting dispatchable generation projects.
• Dispatchable generation experience may include construction or engineering design.
• Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution or equivalent relevant experience.
• Previous experience working with utilities or engineering and design firms.
• Experience with dispatchable generation technologies.
• Large-frame combustion turbine experience is strongly relevant.
• Strong knowledge of Requests for Information.
• Familiarity with Non-Conformance Report processes.
• Ability to understand, interpret and manage contract scope.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with ProjectWise.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam and Procore.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Professional Engineer license is preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training certification with intent to pursue PE licensure is also preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder.
