Solar Construction Supervisor

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Solar Construction Supervisor for a position located in Hobbs, New Mexico.

The Construction Supervisor will oversee civil construction activities and safety practices, ensuring work aligns with project requirements and applicable industry standards.

The role serves as an owner's representative for civil inspections and works closely with contractors, civil teams, site representatives and project management to support construction quality, safety and progress.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or green card holders and should have at least seven years of construction management experience, preferably within renewable energy projects.

Solar Construction Supervisor Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections using ArcGIS while supporting safety oversight, incident investigations and improvements to site safety culture.
• Serve as the owner's representative for civil inspections and verify contractor work against project specifications.
• Coordinate daily with the civil team to understand upcoming inspections and field activities.
• Meet with site representatives to discuss internal inspections, Plan of the Day updates and safety concerns.
• Conduct detailed field inspections and safety walkdowns using ArcGIS for documentation and reporting.
• Monitor contractor compliance with contract requirements and project standards.
• Identify, report and assist with resolving quality issues or field deviations.
• Respond promptly to safety incidents and assist with investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Promote and support a strong safety culture throughout the project site.
• Monitor and address weather-related risks that may affect project safety or timelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of field activities, inspections and observations using digital tools.
• Communicate findings, project progress and concerns clearly to field teams and project management.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to maintain alignment across construction progress, safety and quality objectives.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of construction management experience, preferably within renewable energy.
• Degree in Safety, Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
• Previous civil inspection experience.
• Previous onsite safety oversight experience.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS.
• Proficiency with Procore.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• OSHA certifications such as OSHA 30, or equivalent safety training.
• Bilingual Spanish and English capability is considered a plus.
• Valid driver's license.
