Battery Storage Construction Supervisor

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Battery Storage Construction Supervisor for a Battery Energy Storage Systems construction project in Del Rio, Texas.

The role serves as the overall monitoring manager for the site and coordinates field observers, the Owner's Project Manager, EPC contractors, other contractors, engineers, vendors and the BESS supplier.

The position monitors construction quality, applicable plans and specifications, building codes, safety requirements and required contractor documentation throughout project execution.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or green card holders and should have at least five years of electrical construction experience, preferably including battery storage projects.

Construction Management Responsibilities

• Serve as the overall monitoring manager for the construction site.
• Direct and coordinate activities of assigned Field Observers.
• Work collaboratively with the Owner's Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the Owner's other contractors and their respective scopes of work.
• Attend pre-construction meetings with involved construction entities as required.
• Attend weekly progress meetings with the EPC Contractor and Owner's internal stakeholders.
• Attend monthly progress meetings with the EPC Contractor and Owner's internal stakeholders.
• Use direct field observations and Field Observer reports to verify construction complies with applicable plans, specifications, building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure Field Observers monitor and report required safety checkpoints.
• Collect, verify and report on required contractor safety-process documentation, including reporting of unsatisfactory results.
• Manage relationships with the Owner's client and other project stakeholders.
• Facilitate resolution of site-level conflicts, including construction issues, scheduling delays, logistical conflicts and construction methods.
• Coordinate directly with the Owner's project director, project managers, EPC contractor, other contractors, BESS supplier, engineers and vendors.
• Provide specialized project support when requested, including additional staffing, specialized equipment or outside contract services.
• Review daily logs, construction reports and inspection documentation.
• Coordinate final inspections, testing, commissioning and project walk-downs.
• Establish and manage the final punch list.
• Proactively identify potential project risk, including design or construction elements that may result in disputes or claims.
• Maintain project job books and review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor proper storage and security of project materials and equipment.

Requirements

• Five or more years of electrical construction experience.
• Battery storage construction experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of or familiarity with electrical construction standards.
• Knowledge of electrical construction safety procedures.
• Familiarity with ProjectWise is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
